Understanding Zakat
What is Zakat?
Zakat is an obligatory charity for eligible Muslims — typically 2.5% of qualifying wealth held for one lunar year.
Who can receive Zakat?
The poor, needy, those in debt, travelers in need, and others defined in Islamic law. Our welfare programs serve eligible recipients.
How we use Zakat funds
Zakat donations are tracked separately and applied only to Zakat-eligible categories: food security, clean water, medical aid for the poor, and education support for needy families.
